What about that scripture in Deutoronmy that says when you do that, that is get it wrong, your a false prophet and no one should listen to you, which means I don't have to go to meetings anymore.

by snowbird inthis is how the wt characterizes "anointed" christians who died faithful to wt doctrine.. a careful reading of matthew 24 (a trumpet blast from an angel will gather the chosen ones), 1 corinthians 15 (ditto), 1 thessalonians 4 (ditto), will reveal that all the dead will remain dead until that event occurs.. it takes a lot of twisting and turning of scripture for the wt to conclude that the dead in christ began to arise after 1918, and that those who died after that time experienced an instantaneous resurrection.. i tremble for them!.

I want to make an apology
by Doug Mason ina few weeks ago, i said i intend to complete within three weeks a study on the wts's book: "the bible -- god's word or mans?"..
as in every writing exercise, it is taking me longer than i expected.
usually, when i complete writing a study, i wonder if i would have started it had i known how much time and effort was going to be involved.

I think the point has been touched on but I consider the Watchtower Society the apostates if I have any beliefs anymore they line up more with traditional Christianities views on God and Christ being one, therefore the JW's with their de-emphasis of Jesus to me are the apostates. I guess to a stinking GB'er that would put me on the far end of the apostate scale, but who cares what an apostate organization that can't get the end of the world prediction right thinks of me. I call myself a perfect ten.

Why do I suddenly get stupid when the elders talk to me
by JWinprotest indoes anyone else have the same problem.
when i'm alone, i am constantly thinking about all the clever things i'm going to say if visited by the elders, but when i actually get confronted, these things never come to mind, and i keep spitting out drivel like some dumb idiot.
after they leave, i rethink the conversation, and i'm furious over all the oppotunities i've missed to put them in their place.......damn it!!!!!

Al Gore predicted that the water levels of the ocean would rise and then bought a condo in the S.F. Bay area on the waterfront that according to his predictions would be deluged with water. He also just bought another mansion but tells us we need to conserve our carbon foot print, yeah, by paying him taxes on our carbon usage. What a racket. This is the guy that pushed NAFTA saying it would create jobs in the US, what a joke. And those green jobs, according to statistics you loose two jobs for every government job created.
Just send all your money to Al Gore, and the world will be saved.

by flipper ini've always suspected this was the wt society's view when i was in the jehovah's witness organization - but never knew the head of the writing committee karl adams had written a letter to nathan knorr ( then wt president ) recommending a change regarding reporting field service time as it wrongly emphasized jw members being seen as mainly being approved due to field service statistics - instead of emphasizing christian qualities of love, kindness, peace, etc.. karl adams had been personally handpicked by nathan knorr to be the head of the writing department.
in 1971 he wrote a letter to knorr which he wanted shared with the entire governing body as well .

Yeah that time wasted pioneering could be spend looking for work. One thing for sure, the Watchtower Society is not gonna help this guy. the organiztion is all take and no give, unlike other religions their money doesn't go to provide anything in the way of education hospitals or anything that might really help somebody. All those millions they take in goes for what?
